Uncovering the Destination of Anantya Resorts

It is situated in the kaliel village in Alancholai, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India, overlooking the stunning Chitar lake, mountains, and trees. The resort is located 40 km from Nagercoil city and 48 km from Thiruvananthapuram city.

Booking and Arrival

After our wedding, my wife and I began planning our honeymoon trip. During our search, she remembered that her colleague had once told her about a resort called “Anantya Resorts.” He spoke highly of the resort and mentioned that he visited it every year with his family. Intrigued, we researched more about it on Google, and after watching videos and looking at pictures, we were truly impressed and decided to book a villa there. We called the resort to inquire about villa availability and were fortunate to learn that it was not peak season, so we were able to confirm our booking for a villa named Siddhi Villa.

Siddhi Villa – A Dream Come True

We had booked a one-night stay and arrived as planned at 2:00 PM. Upon entering the resort, we drove the car to the reception area where we were welcomed by beautiful flowering plants and greenery, creating a peaceful and soothing atmosphere. After checking our IDs at the reception, a staff member escorted us to our booked Siddhi Villa.

As we walked, we took in the beauty of the surroundings, and when we reached the villa, it was like a dream come true. The villa was a perfect blend of traditional design and modern luxury, offering us ultimate privacy. We were amazed by the stunning lake view which could be seen both from inside the room and outside. Our villa had a house, a beautifully decorated small pond, grass bed, plants, and an open hut where we could sit and enjoy the lake view.

Inside the house, everything had a grand look and feel. The wooden king-size bed, big mirror near the wash basin, wooden tables, and chairs added to the elegant decor. The open bathroom, adorned with plants and stones, gave us the feeling of being under a waterfall in the mountains. It was attached to our room and provided a stunning sky view while we enjoyed a relaxing bath.

Enjoying the Lake View and Resort Amenities

The perfect time to enjoy the lake view is in the evening when the sun is setting. We ordered some snacks and coffee and sat on the hut, chatting for a long time while taking in the beauty of the lake and watching birds fly by, creating unforgettable memories. At around 7:30 PM, we began to stroll outside the villa and were delighted to see unique and attractive light lamps placed in the corners of the walkways, exceeding our expectations. We had never experienced such beauty before, and it was truly amazing.

Breakfast and Activities

The next morning, after waking up, we went to the resorts Svaad restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast was complimentary and served buffet-style with a variety of Indian dishes that were cooked and arranged in order. We tasted a few dishes and it was too delicious. Although we were tempted to try all the dishes, we felt full after finishing a good breakfast.

After breakfast, we walked towards the common swimming pool, which was a perfect spot for taking photos for Instagram. We clicked some photos with the lake and swimming pool in the background, which added great colours to our photos. Next, we headed to the lake area where we spotted a swing hanging in the water. There were a few couples and kids taking photos by sitting and standing on the swing. We decided to give it a try too and took some photos ourselves.

Afterwards, we moved on to explore the indoor and outdoor activities and walked over to the bicycle section, where we picked up two bicycles and rode them along the pathways of Anantya Resorts. We also tried some of the small indoor games available, which reminded us of our childhood memories that are not as prevalent in this generation.

Missed Experiences and Plans for Next Visit

On our next visit, we definitely plan to try the Veda Pool Villa as we were unaware of the private pool it offers during our current stay. Unfortunately, we missed out on that experience. Additionally, there are a few other things we missed out on this time around such as private dining, lakeside picnic, Soma Bar, Ayurveda massage, floating breakfast, spa, and yoga. We hope to try them out on our next visit to Anantya Resorts.
